Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a specialist treatment of complementary medicine which involves penetrating the skin with very fine needles. Scientific evidence shows that acupuncture can produce a therapeutic benefit by stimulating the nerves under the skin and in muscle tissue, which acts to improve localized healing, reduction of pain in the area where the needle is inserted and in the whole body. Acupuncture is also believed to have a calming effect inducing a feeling of relaxation and well being.
